Just Call Me Mishimmy

I giggle when I’m uncomfortable. I giggle when I’m happy. I giggle when I’m tired. I pretty much giggle all the time.

I’m a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You know, the Mormons.  I lived in Utah (don’t fault me for that one) most of my life but am a little bit more liberal than your average person there. Then again, that’s not very hard to do.

I’ve had a bit of a wonky roller-coaster life ride this year but have somehow landed myself in the Bay Area. I work at Stanford University and currently live in Palo Alto, CA (think The Social Network).

I’m a swing dancer (like the Lindy Hop, Charleston, Balboa, etc…), not a “swinger”. Those are two TOTALLY different spheres. Just wanted to clarify that. I love music. Dancing, singing, playing the music…they’re all things that make me very happy.

I make a fool out of myself on a regular basis. I honestly think I’m one of God’s favorite things to laugh at. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if this were actually the case. I’m a nerd but we love me anyway.

I have TERRIBLE luck with boys. I’ve considered living in a cave in Slovenia on many occasions. I’ve heard they have really nice caves there. Spacious, yet cozy. Not too drafty. Always things to look for. This is also part of the reason why I think I’m God’s personal jester.

What else is there to say? I’m cute, I’m fun, I’m accident prone and have a hard time not falling over when I’m standing completely still (I blame gravity for that one).  So, yeah. That’s me.

Leave me lots of comments. Tell me what you think. I like people and I like what they think. I hope you find me as entertaining as I find myself sometimes. :D
